Well, where should we start? It has been a long time since we have done our blogspot but in the future, we are gonna try to do a much better job and keep you up to date as to what is going on in our lives!
We hope that you’ve all had a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful start to the New Year! It’s hard to believe that 2011 is already here.
As many of you know, Robert is still singing some but nowhere near as much as he has done in the past. He tries to do one or two weekends a month but normally stays close to home. It is almost impossible for us to travel too far from home with him working a full time job and both kids in school.
Zach aka “Bubba” is in K4 at Brushy Creek Baptist School. He is doing very well but as you may know, if you know Bubba, he can be quite a challenge to Mrs. Nolan and Mrs. Stephens. He is 100% all boy! He loves every sport that you can name, from Nascar to Ice Hockey and everything in-between. He loves to go to every sporting event that he can. Robert is always getting tickets to the Greenville Road Warriors, our local ice hockey team, and Bubba enjoys that a lot! He really likes it when they start fighting. Someone suggested that we take him to see the WWE but we know better as Bubba tries everything he sees! The other night we went to watch Clemson basketball and our worst fears begin to face us…Bubba left there saying “Go Tigers”
Kierstyn, our Miss Sassy, is a first grader at Woodland Elementary. We still can’t believe it! How time has flown and Lord how she has grown! She is doing extremely well! She is making the best grades possible and does very good in school. We never get a bad report on her. Now she is very tender hearted and if she did get a bad score she would probably cry for hours. Although she’s not perfect, she attempts to be. She tries everything possible to do everything right for Mom, Dad and her teachers. Of course, if her Dad gets upset with her it really tears her up. She tries to do everything right just for him!
As we stated earlier, Robert is still singing some but because of the economy, has taken a full time job (if you wanna call it that) with Dave Edwards Automotive Group in Spartanburg. He is the Sales Manager in the Hyundai store. He really loves what he does and really loves the people he works with and works for. Previous to Dave Edwards he worked at a dealership here in Greer where he was miserable all the time. There was hardly a day when he got up and wanted to go to work…now it’s hard to get him to come home! Really, Mr. Edwards is a very fine and kind Christian and most of the people that Robert works with are also Christians and that make the biggest difference in the world!
Now, Amy is a stay at home mom. I didn’t say that she doesn’t work…she is a stay at home mom who is involved with both Zac and Kierstyn at school. She is involved in PTA with both kids, goes on every field trip they have and spends time with both them at school. After school, she helps with homework, keeps the house, teaches Kierstyn to cook, Zac to…well we think Zac is un-teachable! No really she plays ball with Bubba and Sassy. She actually coached Zac’s baseball team this year and is also helping coach Sassy’s basketball team as well. All three, Momma, Sassy and Bubba play baseball, softball and basketball, all on our church and city league teams. She also runs the taxi service for them and all their friends to and from everything to school, sporting events, C hic-fil-A,McDonalds and anywhere else they wanna go! On top of all that she has Robert to deal with at the end of everyday! What a woman!
Well, enough has been said at this point. We will try and keep our blogspot updated on a more regular basis. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words so we will try to add pictures as much as possible!
Please feel free to comment or drop us a line at anytime, it’s always good to hear from friends!
God bless you!
